Hamilton Island Golf
Hamilton Island has the approval and is in the process of building an 18 hole championship Whitsunday golf course on neighbouring Dent Island. With completion date expected to be early 2008, there are still plenty of options for golfers:

Watersports
For a bit of fun on the water you can’t go past the waterskiing, parasailing or speedboat adventures provided by Hamilton Island Watersports. They also offer a range of Reef Ryder Tours which include ½ and full day tours around the islands, Whitehaven and Chalkies Beach.

Go Karting
Experience the adrenaline rush of driving a baby racer on this all weather track. Go Karts can go up to 45km per hour. You don’t need a licence but you do need to be over 138cm tall. Great family fun too with double racers available for parents to take kids who don’t meet the height requirement.

Hamilton Island Sports Club
Keep your exercise regime going while you’re on Hamilton Island. The Sports Club has tennis, racquetball and squash courts, a gym, aerobics and cardio classes, spa and sauna.

Wire Flyer
For a totally different experience, take a bird’s eye view of Hamilton Island’s ecosystem from a hand gliding flying fox. Anyone 4 to 87yrs old can do it –you start at the top of the mountain and simply glide down the valley. The ride will take your breath away.

Koala Gallery Wildlife Experience
This Hamilton Island sanctuary features a large collection of Australian native animals including koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, crocodiles, wombats, Tasmanian devils, frilled necked lizards and various reptiles... The sanctuary also houses the Koala Gallery Gift Shop and licensed coffee shop.

The perimeter of the coffee shop dining area is a koala exhibit and 'Breakfast with the Koalas' is held daily from 7:30am to 9:30am... An Aussie buffet breakfast is served at this time and coffee, cakes and light snacks are available all day. Lunch is available from 12:00pm to 2:30pm.

Educational tours, cockatoo presentations, crocodile shows and souvenir photos with the koalas are available at set times each day... Great for all ages.
